10 posts in this topic

Whalers Sports & Entertainment and Comcast today announced the launch of “Whale TV” on Xfinity On Demand, which will be available at no additional cost to Comcast digital cable customers throughout New England. The content will be accessible beginning December 26 under the “Get Local” section of Comcast’s signature Xfinity On Demand service.

Through the “Whale TV” Xfinity On Demand offering, Xfinity TV customers will be able to access a wide variety of exclusive and regularly updated Connecticut Whale features, including a weekly “Whale Watch” TV show with game highlights, interviews and other feature material. Additionally, Comcast Xfinity TV customers will be able to enjoy “CT Whale All Access,” a behind-the-scenes look at life in the AHL. There will also be an option to view various CT Whale special events throughout the season.

To bad I won't be able to see it since I have COX Cable.

Agreed, I also have Cox. But...this is still a very good thing. We can only hope Cox follows suit and does an on-demand thing with the Whale as well.

This is great for WSE to get involved with Comcast. You never know what a partnership may lead to in the **ture. Whalers on CSN???

Nah...Monizzle already told me that would never happen. Of course, he also thought the only corporations in Connecticut were ESPN and the casinos.

"This partnership with Comcast provides an opportunity for our fans to enjoy original Whale TV programming and exclusive features available only to Xfinity TV customers."

Sounds like they won't be working with anyone else, only Comcast Xfinity.

I think its a cool thing that Comcast is partnering with the Whale, I believe Comcast is owned by NBC which also owns Versus and I think a certain Govenor of ours has given NBC and the NHL some perks in Stamford. Hope**lly the coverage of the Whale improves from the big corps that are getting involved. Howard has done a great job with the Corp support.

Last Hartford AHL game on TV was about 7 years ago
