Wolf Pack drew less fans tonight than North Carolina AHL team

Recommended Posts

So i thought since people want to nit pick a sub .500 college hockey team in Hartford we should hold the AHL team accountable as well. Just to set the scene tonight the wolfpack had the annual teddy bear toss for a great cause. This yearly event is something that will sharply drive up attendance. The First 4,500 people also got a free shirt. Well lets just say only 71 people didn't get free t-shirts. And on top of all that the Wolf Pack drew less people tonight than the Charlotte Checkers. That's right the Wolf Pack drew less fans tonight than a North Carolina AHL team.

Bears at Wolfpack Attendance: 4571

Bruins at Checkers Attendance: 7661

ARE you sure, biggie said there was a ton and he stressed a ton of people there, many many more than uconn..

He must have been counting the teddy bears being thrown on the ice during the first wolf pack goal lol.

Update: Charlotte Checkers hosted the Providence Bruins for a 2nd day in a row today. The game started at 1:00 which was the same time as the Carolina Panthers game. Crowd there today was still larger than the Wolfpack prime time sa****ay game. Attendance: 4847.

That's great. Hope**lly this will put to rest and rumors of the Hurricanes leaving the Carolinas. They're showing how much they support hockey down there by beating all of Connecticut's hockey numbers. They should be proud of themselves.

Actually the NHL team in a completely different part of North Carolina is drawing less people than when they were in Hartford. It's just interesting that you only hold uconn hockey accountable to weekend numbers and not the wolf pack. Mind you with a sub .500 record the Uconn ice hockey team is higher up in their conference for attendance numbers than the wolf pack are.

Even with the 4571 on Sat urday, the Pack are 29th of 30 teams in AHL attendance.

In fact, they're getting outdrawn by most of the ECHL teams too.

UConn, meanwhile, is 24th out of 60 teams in college attendance...

So...24th of 60...or 29th of 30.  Hmmm.......

So the Canes having 3 home games in 5 days...the NHL Canes, that is...and drawing one good crowd by their standards (15,241 against the Leafs) and 2 average crowds by their standards (11,398 against the Rangers and 11,133 against the Predators) means they should be "proud of themselves"???  Seriously.  You're HAPPY that the Canes...the NHL Canes...are "beating all of Connecticut's hockey numbers"? A NHL team, regardless of city, SHOULD be beating Connecticut's hockey numbers, especially since Connecticut doesn't have the NHL.

Every time I think your stupidity can't be topped, you come up with another gem.  You should be proud of yourself.

So by doubling that number Mark, the Pack would, (in theory) rank 58th out of 60 if the odds were evened up. BWAHAHAHAHA
