Pucky comes home?

Recommended Posts

So, I thought this would have been posted by now but Pucky was part of Sonar's "Birthday" this weekend. They had a bunch of mascots there including the Bees and Yard Goats mascots. I thought there was a big thing about him not being allowed in the building or bring kicked out and banned a few years ago?

...the best part of Pucky's appearance was when they did a jumbo-tron thank you to all the mascots. They flashed on the screen every visiting mascot that showed up AND then they made the announcement (...paraphrasing here), "...and a special thank you to Pucky the Whale." And the accompanying picture shown was a photograph of Pucky standing next to Howard Baldwin. Intermixed throughout the round of applause I swore I heard some audible gasps. That alone was worth the (discount) price of my scalped ticket.

I found it interesting how the crowd showed love towards Pucky, but not a single person lamented the absence of Torpedo

In a stunning development, you're wrong.

Pucky wasn't "banned" from anything.  There was an issue on the night you mentioned, but that was more about Pucky being there and Pucky's caretaker not doing their due diligence before Pucky went into the building.  Pucky was invited by the WolfPack to attend the game the other night, and Pucky and his caretaker accepted the invite, on the provision that Howard was recognized, and the WolfPack honored the request.

I will go ahead and say that Sunday will not be the last time you see Pucky at a WolfPack game this season.

Mark, I was just asking a question. Also, "Pucky and his caretaker accepted the invite"? Pucky "was" a Pack employee I knew and was escorted by a Pack employee that night. Also, I didn't see anything about them "honoring" Howard Baldwin other than having a picture of him with Pucky on the jumbotron. I did hear some applause as well as some boos, but most people didn't even notice that was on the jumbotron. I know because my nephew asked me why people were "randomly booing".

Wrong pucky was an employeee of Baldwin, wse, not msg..nothing to do with he pack.. and a pic with Baldwin is enough.

Where you there? No. The person in the Pucky costume was a Wolf Pack employee, not an "employee of Baldwin". He was also escorted around the XL Center by another Wolf Pack employee. No one from WSE, the booster club, or any other group had anything to do with the Pucky costume that night.

Pucky might have been a Pack employee and might have been escorted around by a Pack employee...but Pucky goes nowhere without approval from certain people, and those certain people that allowed Pucky to go to the WolfPack game requested that Howard be recognized...not honored necessarily, but recognized.  Howard's picture was put on the jumbotron, I have no idea if that was sufficient or not.

They were not pack employees, they were under the wse company at the time, and that belonged tk Baldwin.. pack is a brand.. does it matter if I was there stupid..

How can there be "WSE employees" when WSE no longer exists as a company? I checked to make sure, and WSE is a dead brand. It no longer has a website, Facebook page, or even a profile on LinkedIn.

Well, he was recognised with a bunch of boos and a few "Baldwin ****s!" They also used **** an aw**l picture that I don't think most people that looked at it could even tell that it was even Baldwin in the picture.

Fraudie, I wasn't there.  I'm just explaining the "guidelines" for Pucky's appearance on Sunday, that's all.  Also, remember that the "crowd" that was there on Sunday were mostly Pack fans who hated Baldwin because of the original rebrand and all the issues that occurred after the rebrand occurred.
