Cowbells are allowed gain this season. Someone asked this question and received a thumbs up from someone at AEG. :)

For half an hour? Hahahaha! If this wasn't written by a Whale fan, I would've absolutely thought it was a joke from Tackla or another non-Ranger fan.

If you're not done after 30 minutes, will they take your cup away?

Maybe you should check the back of your ticket to make sure it's valid for the entire game, as you wouldn't want to settle in for a night of hockey only to be told your ticket's only good for the first two periods.

If you buy a slice of pizza, are the sauce & cheese sold separately? Are the pucks stamped 'Property of AEG,' so if one goes into the stands they can ask the fan who caught it to give it back?

Okay, okay. I'm done. No, wait-one more: Do the mustard packets come standard with each pretzel, or are they considered optional extras?

To be honest Biggie, I was writing based on what anti_bruins had written, since he is a Whale supporter, I *****umed what he'd wrote was accurate. Of course, I'd also *****umed that no matter how small the cups of beer they sold for $2 were, they'd be available till the end of the second period.

From the site two minutes ago. Just to be clear.

■At this game, and every Friday night Whale home game during the season, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers from 6:00-8:00 PM.

"Over/under for Sunday: 3,000. Going against the Pats, Giants and potential Yankee playoff game will be ugly."

Agreed. These early season Sunday home games are brutal. I would definitely say under 3,000 for Sunday.

Sun 10/14 = 3:00pm (STJ) Pats at 4:05, Giants at 4:25, Yankees TBD (if they get there)

Sun 11/04 = 7:00pm (SPR) Pats OFF, Giants at 4:25

Sun 12/02 = 5:00pm (SPR) Pats at 1:00, Giants off until Mon Night (no conflict)

Sun 12/09 = 3:00pm (ALB) Pats off until Mon Night, Giants at 4:25

So the 12/2 game should be OK, the other 3....ehhhhhhh......

I'd still go under 3,000 for Sunday.

Last years attendance was an embarr*****ment. As a season ticket holder, I was totally disgusted that more people didn't show up to support our local team. I am aware of all the arguments concerning hatred for the Rangers and MSG or after having the NHL that the AHL isn't good enough. The total lack of support by the local media TV, print and radio didn't help matters. However Hockey, I believe is still the greatest game in the world by far. I hope that opening night draws close to 10,000 or more and that over the course of the season we can draw an average of 7,000-8,000 and be near the top of the league in attendance. Honestly however I would be surprised if we are able to meet these modest attendance goals based on what I've seen over the past few season's. It's no wonder Howard lost so much financially. If we want to continue to have hockey in Hartford we need to step it up and show support for the team we have before it's too late and we don't even have the Whale. It doesn't matter why you go to the games just go and have a good time. Come because you truely like the team or to find out about the up and coming NHL prospects, or to root for the minor lerague team of your favorite NHL team etc . Hope**lly many more will come and enjoy the hockey and we can build a proud hockey tradition in Hartford. That's what's needed if we ever want to have any chance of ever seeing the NHL return.

I got nothing. Our "friends" at AEG decided on Monday to take away the interactive seat thingy, so I couldn't do another count. As of last weekend, they were at 5900. That's the last number I have.

Looking at Sunday's map, it's quite evident the season ticket base is right at or lower than Howard's last season. So much for the aggressive marketing plan that was promised.
